Dr. Pearl Williams-Jones (1931-1991) was a gospel musician, composer, and scholar. A native of Washington, D.C., Williams-Jones attended Howard University where she earned bachelors and masters degrees in music. She performed internationally and was a professor of music at the University of the District of Columbia.
