From Famous Women: An Outline of Feminine Achievement Through the Ages With Life Stories of Five Hundred Noted Women. Written by Joseph Adelman, published 1926 by Ellis M Lonow Company:
American actress, daughter of the Hon. T. W. Anglin, who at the time of her, at birth Ottawa, Canada, was Speaker of the Canadian House of Commons. She studied in New York, and made her first success as Roxane, in Richard Mansfield’s presentation of “Cyrano de Bergerac.” After playing in a number of important productions, she went to Australia in 1908-1909 where she appeared in Shakespearian roles. In recent years her revivals of the Greek tragedies have distinguished her as a dramatic artist of rare intelligence and ability.

IW note: Anglin was also a director and producer, in addition to acting.
