Lucy Parsons (b. c. 1851) was a prominent African-American social anarchist and later anarcho-communist. She is noted for her advocacy for labor rights, social justice, and her participation in founding the Industrial Workers of the World. Despite facing personal tragedy, including the execution of her husband Albert Parsons after the Haymarket affair, she remained a fierce advocate for the working class.
