Enza García Arreaza was born in Barcelona, Venezuela in 1987. She is the author of numerous books of poetry and short fiction, among them Cállate poco a poco (Shut Up Slowly) (2008), El animal intacto (Intact Animal) (2015), and Cosmonauta (Cosmonaut) (2020). She has contributed to numerous publications such as Backroom Caracas, World Literature Today and other literary magazines. In 2017 García Arreaza participated in the University of Iowa’s International Writing Program, and from 2008-2020, served as a Fellow at the International Writers Project for Endangered Writers at Brown University.
