Frances Evelyn, Countess of Warwick, a British philanthropist and social leader. She married the fifth Earl of Warwick, and founded various organizations for the welfare of the poor, the nursing of the sick, and the care of crippled children. She also established the Lady Warwick College for training young women in horticulture, dairy, bee, and poultry keeping.
Lady Warwick was also an active Socialist, and lectured on Socialism when she visited the United States. Among her writings are: Warwick Castle and its Earls (1903), and William Morris, is Home and Haunts (1912).
