Anna Ancher was a prominent Danish artist closely affiliated with the Skagen Painters, a vibrant artist’s community situated on the northern tip of Jutland, Denmark. Renowned for her unique style, she studied drawing at the Vilhelm Kyhn College of Painting, Copenhagen, for three years, distinguishing herself as a pioneer in capturing the interplay of colors in natural light. Additionally, she honed her skills in Paris under Pierre Puvis de Chavannes alongside Marie Triepcke.
