Born in Mexico City, María Fernanda García Reyna studied graphic design at the Universidad Iberoamericana, and went on to work as a creative director with several national and transnational advertising agencies, earning awards and other recognitions in advertising. In 2011, she started her own company, but the following year suffered an accident that almost killed her and caused epilepsy. Over the following four years of recovery, she developed synesthesia, and began writing a narrative of her recovery and newly discovered mission in life. In 2018, she published her novel “A Door to the Stars.”
