Few if any other women held a comparable position while she worked as the editorial cartoonist for the Miami Daily News from 1933–1956. During her career at the Miami Daily News, she produced more than seven thousand editorial cartoons, many of which also ran in such other Cox company newspapers as the Atlanta Journal.
